Community outreach consulting

Claridad Media provides expert consultations to newsrooms to help them strengthen their connection with communities. We curate a game-plan to effectively embed newsrooms with their communities, offer training to develop staff’s skills and support participatory journalism projects from beginning to end. We offer a vast experience in community engagement services in cities across the country with a specialty in working with BIPOC communities, bilingual and Spanish-language engagement.

Specialty Editing Services

We offer technical editing expertise in the areas of health policy and the environment. When you work with Claridad, you get more than 15 years of journalism experience and subject matter expertise faster than it would take to hire a new editor to your staff.

We train newsroom staff to report on evidence-based, community-centered solutions journalism. Whether your newsroom is looking to focus on a beat or is embarking on an investigative project, we tailor training for editors and reporters, brain-storming sessions, and team and/ or coaching.

Career Coaching for early and mid-career journalists

Journalists come to Claridad Media for career coaching, portfolio feedback, communication and negotiation techniques. We provide a neutral party to give them detail-oriented feedback they won’t get from their typical editor. They will get tailored coaching from a seasoned journalist with over a decade of coaching expertise.
